Elementary Math Workbook Mastering the Basics

Download the PDFs for free. Each contains exercises using all four mathematical operators: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. There are two versions available: one with the results displayed and another with the results hidden. You can use the timer or countdown available on the page.

Numbers and Arithmetic: At the core of mathematics are numbers, symbols that represent quantities. Numbers can be whole (like 1, 2, 3, called integers) or fractional (like 0.5 or 3/4, called rational numbers). Basic arithmetic operations include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. These operations form the foundation of more advanced mathematical concepts and are essential for everyday tasks, from shopping to budgeting.

Geometry and Shapes: Geometry is the branch of mathematics that deals with shapes, sizes, and properties of space. Basic geometric shapes include points, lines, and planes. From these fundamental entities, more complex shapes like circles, triangles, and polygons are formed. Geometry is not just about recognizing shapes but understanding their properties, like how to calculate a triangle’s area or a circle’s circumference.

Algebra and Equations: Algebra is the study of mathematical symbols and the rules for manipulating them. It’s about finding the unknown or putting real-life variables into equations and then solve them. For instance, if you know the cost of one apple and want to find out the total cost of buying four, you’d use an algebraic equation to find the answer. Algebra provides tools for analyzing and understanding a broad range of topics from science to economics.
